‘Twas The Night Before Christmas

Twas The Night Before Christmas is a fun-filled romp through a heart-warming tale of family love and playful friendships. Hop a ride with Izzy on the Christmas Train to the North Pole and hold on to your hats. Anything can happen when Izzy is around.

Meanwhile in Santa’s Workshop the Elves are working overtime to meet the need for increased production-trying to make sure there are enough toys for every good little girl and boy.

“Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmas-time”. - Laura Ingalls Wilder

Attempting to live a normal life filled with Jewish traditions in early twentieth century Russia, Tevye, a dairyman, and his wife Golde are searching for appropriate husbands for their three eldest daughters – Tzeital, Hodel and Chava, with the help of the matchmaker, Yente. In a break of tradition, his daughters refuse and instead they marry men that they love. Tzeitel marries a tailor, Motel. Hodel marries a revolutionary Perchik in Siberia, after he is arrested and exiled. Chava, the youngest, marrys a Russian Gentile, Fyedka and is shunned by her parents for not marrying a Jew. Meanwhile, Russians are instigating terrible programs against the Jewish people in Russia. In the end, the Jews of Anatevka are forced to leave their homes and Tevye is determined to start a better life in America. Tzietzel and Motel will join them in America and Chava and Fyedka choose to move to Poland. As Tevye, leaves, he beckons the Fiddler to follow.
